Project Overview CCL Midscale 8-9, LLC (“Owner”) is developing the Corpus Christi Midscale Train 8 and 9 Project adjacent to the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 (“CCL Stage 3”) project located in San Patricio County, Corpus Christi, TX, USA. The Stage 3 facility will consist of seven (7) liquefaction units, each having an aggregate nominal LNG production capacity of approximately 1.49 MTPA and a combined nameplate capacity of 10.43 MTPA Job Summary Workface planning (WFP) is a work packaging model for organizing execution in the field of a construction project. Workface planning is the creation of IWPs which are small, well-defined work packages that describe a specific scope of work for a crew. Bechtel India is seeking applications from experienced senior Piping Field Engineers, Construction Engineers with expertise in the Oil & Gas, Power and Petrochemical industries to support the role of Workface Planner Piping at our Vadodara office. The Workface Planner Piping will convert Construction Work Packages (CWPs) into Installation Work Packages (IWPs) for all types of piping and piping bulks. They will ensure all necessary drawings, deliverables, engineered data, and resources are available, and constraints are removed before releasing IWPs to the field construction team. Additionally, they will support home office construction activities such as constructability reviews, ensuring design safety, providing input to engineering and procurement teams to improve Total Installed Cost (TIC), and maximizing preassembly. This is an agency hired role; successful candidate in this role will be deployed on fixed term contracts through approved employment agencies. Major Responsibilities Supports preparation and development of piping IWP and TWP plan for release of Installation Work Packages, Test Packages in close coordination with piping Field Engineers, piping I Superintendents, and Lead Construction Coordinator on the project. Contributes to construction related design decisions by providing Construction’s perspective to schedules, design deliverables, equipment purchases, degree of shop fabrication, and equipment delivery configuration and sequence. Reviews work scope, checking sequencing, access, resources, equipment needs, pre-work, materials and support services. Develops and assembles detailed Installation work Packages for all types of piping and associated bulks as per the project guidelines and procedures, which includes, compiling piping installation drawings, installation details, model snapshots, vendor drawings, inspection test records, or any other documents or Engineering deliverables associated with the piping IWPs. Prepares pipe test package scoping sketches, including preparing detailed pipe test packages, material takeoff of piping test material, and construction engineering deliverables require to successfully complete pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure test of piping system . Verifies completeness of engineering drawings, installation details, engineering data, vendor information and vendor data, ensuing all engineering and vendor information and data is available for successful construction of assigned IWPs. Monitors quality of IWPs ensuring scoping and preparation of IWPs is done right the first time Prepares construction drawings and sketches as require. Preforms material takeoffs for piping commodities and bulks. Monitors project schedule and ensures performance and timely delivery of IWPs; coordinate with Project Controls team, planners, other stakeholder of the project and ensure piping IWPs and TWPs are issued as per the project priorities. Facilitates the identification and removal of constraints. Education And Experience Requirements A recognized bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or international equivalent). Minimum experience of 12 yrs. in large EPC projects, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Working experience at the jobsites as a Field Engineer or Construction Engineer on large industrial projects is essential. Required Knowledge And Skills Professional with an understanding of piping installation and pipe pressure testing on large EPC projects, ability to resolves a wide range of issues.
